He graduated from New York Law School, where he was a member of the Moot Court Association and the Institute for Information Law and Policy. He has advised and counseled independent record labels, art and fashion startups, music festivals, tech companies, beverage companies, DJs and producers, stylists, public relations firms, management agencies, creative agencies, and fine artists. Anibal also focuses on working with innovators of social good-- from digital education nonprofits to global impact travel-- he's helping shape the culture of tomorrow.
As part of his work, Anibal provides strategic business and legal counseling to creatives and entrepreneurs. His experience is primarily in advising on entity formation, protecting and enforcing copyrights and trademarks, drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts including recording, publishing, licensing, independent contractor, sponsorship, tour, festival, merchandising, product endorsement, production, and distribution agreements, with a focus on international issues.
Most recently the Founder and Managing Attorney of Luque PLLC, Anibal also gained industry experience as partner at Hoffman Luque LLP, Boyarski Fritz LLP, and The Windish Agency as well as providing business and legal counsel to Parka Records. He also currently serves on the board of directors for POWRPLNT, a digital arts collaboratory based in Brooklyn. He has been a featured guest lecturer at Columbia University, New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, Yale University, and London College of Fashion among others.
He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
